Campus Master Plan
Mission
The Museum of Danish America's Campus Master Plan will provide a vision for the future of the museum's 35-acre campus and visitor experiences. Developed with community input and in-depth study of the site and local history, this campus master plan aims to:
- Thoughtfully design visitor experiences across the museum's 35-acre campus
- Honor the heritage of Danish immigration to the United States
- Create inviting and community-oriented spaces and programming where museum visitors and supporters can connect, learn, and experience Danish-American culture in meaningful ways
- Ensure accessibility and engagement by designing spaces and programming that welcome all visitors, from local residents to museum supporters from afar
- Celebrate Jens Jensen's role in the Prairie Style of landscape architecture
- Restore and enhance biodiversity and promote ecological stewardship
- Attract new and non-traditional museum visitors

Campus Master Planning Process
The campus master planning process creates a vision for future projects, programming, and improvements. It is based on a deep understanding of the site, its users, local community, site history, and environment. The process helps decide where ideas and projects can be located on the museum's campus. Community input is essential. The more voices we hear, the stronger and more cohesive the campus master plan will be.

Community Engagement
Community engagement helps us gather valuable insights and feedback from our community and museum supporters. Whether you visit often, occasionally, or support our mission from afar, we truly value your input and feedback. Survey and focus group feedback will be reviewed by museum staff and landscape architects to shape the museum's campus master plan.
