Merit of Recognition
'Annual' Leadership Society
All contributions during a calendar year are cumulative for recognition purposes. The name of each donor will be recognized at least once annually in the printed Annual Report. There are nine levels of recognition, based upon total ANNUAL contributions:

| Order of Sjælland | $5,000 - $9,999 |
| Order of Fyn | $2,500 - $4,999 |
| Order of Bornholm | $1,000 - $2,499 |
| Order of Lolland | $500 - $999 |
| Order of Falster | $250 - $499 |
| Order of Amager | $100 - $249 |
| Order of Læsø | $50 - $99 |
| Order of Fanø | Under $50 |
All members contributing $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund during the calendar year will be recognized in the Annual Report as members of the Annual Leadership Society.
Heritage Builders
A donor who makes known a planned gift to the museum and signs a Confidential Bequest Intention form while living, will be recognized with a Heritage Builders plaque. This shall apply to both irrevocable and revocable gifts alike.
Wall of Honor
The Wall of Honor displays the names of Danish immigrants, their adopted United States city and state, and the year of immigration. The information is displayed on permanent plaques in the museum. Contributors to the Wall of Honor will be recognized in the MoDA Magazine and Annual Report.
In Memory or In Honor
Contributions may be made to the museum in memory of or in honor of others. The honoree of such gifts will be recognized in the MoDA Magazine.
