Yoga in the Prairie 

Grab your yoga mat and join instructor Katie Sandquist for monthly community wellness surrounded by the beauty of nature. All levels are welcome. 

$8 per session or $6 for museum members. While you may sign up for multiple people, please sign up for each date individually.

        Painting in the Prairie 

        Come enjoy the outdoors and the beauty that the Jens Jensen Prairie Landscape Park has to offer. With 30+ years' experience in the arts and 10+ years' experience in art instruction, artist Teri Templeton Cadman will help guide you through the process. Whether you choose to paint the prairie as a landscape or focus on a single flower, Teri will be available to help in any way she can with nature providing all of the inspiration. Just paint what you see, paint what you feel, and enjoy yourself. All supplies provided: 11x14 canvas, easel, paint, brushes, water, paint rags, aprons, etc. Easels are adjustable to allow for painters to sit or stand. 

        $55 or $50 for museum members. For ages 16 and up. No experience is necessary. 

        Painting in the Prairie will be held on July 27 from 9 am - 12 pm. 

        Danish Plates Community Mosaic Project 

        Leave your creative mark at the Museum of Danish America and create a mosaic stepping stone using recycled blue and white Bing & Grøndahl plates which will become part of a stone path along MoDA's green roof. This summer event is for all ages—from beginners to experienced crafters. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. 

        FREE. The Danish Plates Community Mosaic Project will be held on August 3 from 10 am - 12 pm.
