Denmark has a long and storied history with clay. Over 5,000 years ago, people in Denmark were making art out of pottery.
Artistic skill met mass production in the 1700s with the founding of Royal Copenhagen. Denmark skyrocketed to the forefront of a global mania with brilliant white porcelain, and its blue-and-white patterns have delighted the world ever since.
Danish potters didn't stop there, though. Studios and artists innovated and pushed the boundaries of quality and beauty. The techniques and materials they pioneered have enchanted the world, from Louis Tiffany to Mad Men.
Explore the works of Bjørn Wiinblad, Axel Salto, Bodil Manz, and more, and experience 250 years of quality yourself.
