Confirmation: Coming of Age in Denmark and the USAnders Hansen was born in Randers, Denmark in 1886. He came to the US in 1904, attended seminary in Blair, Nebraska, and Illinois, and was ordained in 1914. His first call was to congregations in Oconto and Maple Valley, Wisconsin. Here, the young pastor is seen with his very first confirmation class in Maple Valley in 1915.
