Mads Gregersen – Lena Boysen Family
Mads was born in 1836 in Nørre Nissum in Ringkøbing County; Lena was born in 1848 in Visby, in Tønder County, where they met and married in 1867 and their daughter Sena was born. In 1874 they immigrated to Chicago, then moved to Clinton County, Iowa, a year later, and eventually to Elk Horn. Sena married Chris Paulsen. Another daughter, Mette Marie, married first, John Hansen, and later, Soren C. Pedersen.

Boye Madsen Boysen – Sidsel Marie Gregersen Family
Boye immigrated to Council Bluffs from Thisted in May, 1900. Sidsel Marie came from Nørre Nissum, in Ringkøbing County in November, 1903. They lived in the Brayton, Iowa, area. From left: Boye Madsen Boysen, Arthur, Harry, Edith, Sidsel Marie, Arlow. Arlow and Arthur were twins. Sidsel Marie’s father Jacob was a twin, and she also had twin sisters. There are 2-3 additional sets of twins in the current generation. Arlow lives south of Wiota and was 92 years old at the time this photo was exhibited.
