Is there anything Danish about this rug? Not particularly. Rugs like this were popular in many American homes - and most items in Danish-American homes were more American than Danish. The museum has a rug like this in the collection to remind us of that very fact: Danish-Americans lived with most of the same households objects as their non-Danish neighbors.
